I had a lovely chat with @SimonParkin for the New Yorker about the path from Wordle to Parseword, and some of the challenges along the way. https://t.co/SZb9JoihQT 15.5K views · 60 likes · 4 reposts · 6 replies Open on X →
I've released a new word game called Parseword, that tries to make cryptic crosswords more accessible. You can play it here: https://t.co/obwHrGi9tM 149.5K views · 1.3K likes · 133 reposts · 29 replies Open on X →

It feels surreal to be included on this list. And even more so when I read the poem. Thank you @questlove. https://t.co/GrREvEWyFu 0 views · 591 likes · 28 reposts · 24 replies Open on X →
If you like Wordle you should check out Knotwords. It is an incredibly elegant daily word game. What impresses me most is that, despite its deceptively simple appearance, it has clearly been built with a great deal of thought and care. 0 views · 273 likes · 55 reposts · 9 replies Open on X →
An update on Wordle https://t.co/TmHd0AIRLX
Since launching Wordle, I’ve been in awe of the response and the game has gotten bigger than I ever imagined.

On the flip side, it has been a little overwhelming. I am just one person, and it is important to me that, as Wordle grows, it continues to provide a great experience to everyone.

Given this, I am incredibly pleased to announce that I’ve reached an agreement with The New York Times for them to take over running Wordle going forward. If you’ve followed along with the story of Wordle, you’ll know that NYT games play a big part in its origins and so this step feels natural to me.

I’ve long admired the NYT’s approach to their games and the respect with which they treat their players. Their values are aligned with mine on these matters and I’m thrilled that they will be stewards of the game moving forward.

When the game moves to the NYT site, it will be free to play for everyone, and I am working with them to make sure your wins and streaks are preserved.

Thank you all.
