Wild this balk wasn’t called. If you’re worried about lengthening the game by making everything reviewable, how about everything that could’ve resulted in a run-scoring play? @WatchMarquee Tough ~18 hours for the Cubs. https://t.co/FDZuTkPx5J 35.8K views · 358 likes · 24 reposts · 8 replies Open on X →
You might see my face in a Fuzzy recap tomorrow morning on YouTube talking about this. 👀 40.5K views · 152 likes · 4 reposts · 5 replies Open on X →
Andrew Painter's fastball over his last 2 starts... -Velocity ⬆️ 0.7 mph, added 250 rpm -2.1" more vertical break (ride) -Extension ⬆️ ~2.5" -FanGraphs Stuff+ from 92 to 115 🤯 Talk about fixing a problem. Grip appears similar... delivery work driving the change? #Phillies 33.8K views · 394 likes · 15 reposts · 8 replies Open on X →
To everybody in the comments... I am very aware the Mariners jump AAA all the time. It doesn't make it less surprising to me and others in baseball. Tacoma is 300ft above sea level. Line him up for a pair of starts away from bad PCL parks to adjust at game intensity. 40.3K views · 160 likes · 2 reposts · 7 replies Open on X →
@LanceBroz The Mariners have their pitchers skip AAA kind of a lot 14.1K views · 127 likes · 0 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →
Kade Anderson’s four-seamer… Double-A: 93.7 mph, 2180 rpm, 18.8” VB, -8.4” HB MLB Debut: 93.6 mph, 1976 rpm, 15.4” VB, -7.3” HB (extension up 2-3”) The physical baseball is different below AAA. I’m surprised the Mariners had him skip that level. 🤷‍♂️ 718.9K views · 2K likes · 33 reposts · 70 replies Open on X →
Michael King is emblematic of a larger lean among sharp orgs: cut your fastball so we can "seam-shift" you into more plus pitch types. The #Cubs cut their fastballs more than *any* other team in the minors. It's a perfect match. What is "cut" and why is it so prized? https://t 185.5K views · 458 likes · 33 reposts · 20 replies Open on X →
