I got the records in Oct 2023. We couldn't appeal what we couldn't prove, and the county made sure we couldn't prove it until any appeal was long dead. The county didn't need to win forever. It only needed to run out the clock. https://t.co/9w

So Williamson County sued the Attorney General of Texas rather than hand a citizen election records that would prove true results could not be known.
The AG moved for summary judgment. A Travis County judge sided with the county on timing.

Same day, I asked Williamson County for the ballot images and cast vote record from Ryan's primary. The county refused and asked the AG for permission to withhold. Nov 9, 2022, the AG ruled (OR2022-35056): the county may not withhold anything

Aug 17, 2022: Paxton signed Opinion KP-0411. Anonymous voted ballots are public records citizens can inspect during the 22-month window. It overruled a 1988 AG decision and went against the SOS's own general counsel, who wanted them locked up.

March 21, 2022: I asked the county in writing for its "wrong ballot" emails. April 18: Ryan told the judge the records were being refused. Sanctioned anyway.
