That’s going to be quite a mess. Crews will time out. Hopefully they stick to that reopening time.

Good party at the Country Club. I think the boys are out there in the pool wrecking stuff, not sure but I’m “supervising”, while my daughter & her friend are dressed for the pool but apparently swimming is something teen girls don’t do.
Good food & the live band is great! https:

Didn’t expect to have 50k followers…
For those new here, I try to stay in my lane & add context to things I know about, like aviation & the military. I cook sometimes & am trying to learn golf, too.
Anyway, I’ll re-up this. A great, FREE program to get kids into aviation!

@MCCCANM "every button & switch functioning as it does in the real world"
I discovered at least one sim where the breaker that was supposed to silence GPWS wasn't working.... https://t.co/7Xy40mTTZS

@MCCCANM The C-130 simulator can simulate jumping the wheel chocks during engine runs and feels exactly like jumping the chocks during an actual engine run. Don't ask me how I know.....😂

@MCCCANM This is the single best, short description of commercial airline pilot training in the US. My buddy @MCCCANM flies for SWA. I flew for DAL. We both flew for the Air Force but in different aircraft. The training is identical.
I posted yesterday about the different choice

Time for “Dial a Death” once again.
Pilots have recurring simulator checkrides. The timeline varies, but about every 9 months we come back to the training center for 2 days of pain, where everything that can go wrong does go wrong.

@MCCCANM My husband and sons were members of the Civil Air Patrol which is probably the same type of organization as what you are referring to. It help my sons to become AF pilots when they grew up just like their dad,

@MCCCANM Is there anything similar for Air Traffic Controllers? I feel like my son would really gravitate toward that. He has an amazing ability to take in the entire scene at once, but truthfully I'm not even sure that's how it works...

Got a kid interested in aviation? Not sure how to help foster it?
In the US, the Experimental Aviation Association (EAA) will give kids from 8-17 their first flight in a small plane!
I’ve flown a few; a great opportunity for kids & pilots, too!
