@BiggestComeback I've been on keto since April and find it to be the easiest diet I've tried. I consistently eat less than 15g of carbs per day which solved my high morning glucose levels. Never was able to loose weight like I am now, and enjoy everything I eat. Don't miss the ca

“What my patients need from me is someone willing to slow down and ask: do the benefits here clearly outweigh the costs for you, specifically?” —@bschermd
It’s extremely difficult for me to understand how anyone could consider that a controversial position.

I believe in lowering LDL. I've spent 20+ years as a cardiologist helping high-risk patients drive their ApoB down.
And yet I'm regularly seen as anti-statin, anti-LDL.
Let me explain why this is so important. 🧵

The results of this morning’s daily journaling session revolved around a question I’ve been thinking about a lot lately: How can I continue improving both my cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength without simply doing more?
In other words: How can I get the most return

For years, one of my health goals was to “walk more.”
But “walk more” isn’t really a goal.
I would make an effort, walk more for a while and then gradually do less. It ebbed and flowed because I had never defined what “more” meant or committed myself to a measurable standard. h

This afternoon, I’ll have 3–5 minutes to inspire about 25 colleagues to begin—or recommit to—resistance training.
I don’t want to simply fill the time with facts. I want to leave them with one idea they’ll remember.
If you had those 3–5 minutes, what would you tell them?

@BiggestComeback Bringing together two voices doesn’t change the plumbing of the human heart. I fell for the metabolic health over cholesterol trap for 9 years. The result? Advanced blockages & a triple bypass. Stop sacrificing patient safety for a brand narrative⚠️
