This week, we break down the theory of "Zone Compression" 🙏 We think that this principle is what is driving all performance forward. Things get interesting and weird, allowing athletes to run marathons at threshold. "Closing The Loop" is out now! It's one of the most life-affirming things I have ever seen. I cried and cried at the end (you'll see), but in one of those I AM SO HAPPY TO BE ALIVE ways. We can't wait for you to see it! https://t.co/tyUVsYvWeM 4.3K views · 29 likes · 2 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →

@MountainRoche I’m hesitant to group bicarb with super shoes. I’ve heard from several top athletes that they don’t think bicarb is worth the GI risk but I don’t know anyone who doesn’t train and race in supershoes. 1.3K views · 3 likes · 0 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →

@MountainRoche @Brady_H do you have any thoughts/experience using bicarb? Not that I don’t respect David or Steve but I follow and listen to a lot of of your stuff much more and would love to hear your insight 785 views · 1 likes · 0 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →

@MountainRoche Hi David, could you share what protocol you would use for bicarb for an ultra? Are you taking additional doses during the race? 2.8K views · 2 likes · 0 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →

I strongly agree with Coach Steve. The impact of bicarb is way stronger than most people who aren't involved in the top end of the sport realize. From 400/800 to the marathon and ultras. (at the Olympic Trials, I even saw 100m athletes taking bicarb for better recovery) 64.7K views · 172 likes · 7 reposts · 16 replies Open on X →
