@JikkyKjj @ydeigin @TyCardon @jeremyphoward @Daoyu15 The alignment in the figure below seems to indicate to me that the homology regions did not result from a recombination event, but rather from a slow accumulation of point mutations in highly variable regions. It would be good to find more intermediates between SARS1 and MP789. https://t.co/U0HbQAbzxA
