The entire architecture is a simple looped transformer, without fancy recursion or hierarchical machinery. Despite this, Sotaku beats the darling of last year’s arc-agi, TRM (87%, 7M params), on the same dataset (but to be fair to TRM, it’s not a specific sudoku solver)
