On 24 August 2026 near Ridkodub (Lyman sector), a Ukrainian brigade advanced ~3 km with four IFVs in daylight, dismounted infantry, and withdrew under continuous drone threat. All vehicles returned. One was hit by a Russian fibre-optic FPV, but kept moving.
