@cometcalls 4% rule ≠ withdraw 4% of current portfolio every year forever. It’s 4% of the starting balance in year 1, then inflation-adjust that same dollar amount. Also, the perpetual withdrawal rate is closer to 3-3.5%. 4% is much riskier because of sequence of returns risk.
