Subhash Chandra Garg’s 2.6% figure is NOT a valid growth rate. It compares ₹88.27 lakh crore (Q1 2026-27, new 2022-23 series) with ₹86.05 lakh crore (Q1 2025-26, old 2011-12 series). Mixing two incompatible series is arithmetic nonsense. MoSPI explicitly states comparisons
