@CarsonJerema @TerryGlavin @nationalpost Glavin’s language is colourful, “pro Beijing comprador caste” , BUT he raises a fair question. Barton was a big part of the Trudeau era China strategy. Diversifying away from the U.S. is one thing. Cozying back up to Beijing is quite another.
