Notice an obvious thing. US current nominal GDP is some $30 trillion; Chinese, around $20 trillion. The gap is 50%. Yuan appreciation by 30% would --with zero change in anything-- make Chinese GDP about $26 trilion, and thus within 20% of the American. This would bring the
