Treasury is expected to buy back $12.5 billion of its own debt today. Total US debt is $40 trillion. So that’s 0.03%. 1 dollar in every $3,200. Better way to see it. The US pays about $2.7 billion a day in interest. Tomorrow’s buyback covers 4 and a half days of that lol.
