Ref debate over 1st Qtr GDP being 7.8% or, with 2025-26 1st Qtr GDP dropped to 80lakh crore, as S Garg says it’s 2.6%. At a talk today, a top economist argued that base-year change does impact past data. But he agreed that Gov must explain what’s new in 2022-23 base data.
