My reaction to the NHJ piece is that the PMC obsession with socially reproducing itself is not just incompatible with, but antithetical to, its egalitarian ideals. These are opposite and irreconcilable wishes, this is the core hypocrisy of our class, and it is crazymaking.

I think Moulton has exactly the wrong idea and I don’t only mean because it’s offensive to me. I think it reeks of cynicism and cowardice in a way that would repel anyone. You don’t build a winning coalition by pissing off, demoralizing, and expelling its existing members.
