@maolesen @Comm_in_Care I just learned today that St. Louis city has stopped reporting waste water since February. And when I went to call their communicable diseases phone line, the line is shut down. Epidemiology voicemail is full. Very disappointed. I found a data set that will let me do forecasting again, not just for COVID, but also influenza, RSV, and acute respiratory illness. Nerding out. 2.4K views · 263 likes · 7 reposts · 7 replies Open on X →

As a former UHG/UHC/Optum employee, I can't express just how much I loved takedown of them. I have one medication that has traditionally cost me about $40/mo. My current agency uses OptumRx, now it's $900/mo. May the board all get explosive diarrhea. https://t.co/BlSaKjMdD7 2.1K views · 64 likes · 16 reposts · 4 replies Open on X →

Unfortunately, they didn't include the full series of illustrations from this article I wrote in 2016, but the message hasn't changed. I also spoke on this topic at the American Institute of Architects conference in 2007. I've been thinking about these things for a long time. htt

@maolesen Thank you, Michael. I agree with you 100%. Having worked in environmental and climate policy for a long time, it has been particularly painful to see the parallels between SARS-2 denialism and climate denialism, as well as the resulting apathy toward both. 2.6K views · 42 likes · 3 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →

@maolesen After an injury that kept me from caring for my home and yard, I moved to a senior community. Some lovely people but very little interest in world or global events. Frustrating. 1.3K views · 14 likes · 1 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →

This will take about 20 minutes to read, but might be some of the most important 20 minutes of information you've ever read. It explains my biggest fear from the COVID pandemic. https://t.co/zcLi35mKxl 47.1K views · 833 likes · 182 reposts · 27 replies Open on X →
