@Giovann35084111 Historical data extrapolated, however u define or refine that extrapolation simply ignores the arrow of TIME. What was a relevant price input 10 years ago may not be relevant 20 years forward. It’s naive to believe that extrapolation works, from straight lines to

That is true.
But this is precisely where physical intuition and experience with complex systems become important.
Power laws are, in general, remarkably stable when they emerge from genuine scaling processes. They are often associated with strong self-regulating mechanisms,

@Giovann35084111 @Andre_Dragosch @CorySwan @diglloyd @charlesamadeus @DCBitMax Personally, and this is not a scientific belief, I expect the power law trend to keep occurring. But that is only an informed guess to me. I also expect and hope my country to keep being sovereign, as

So lazy response.
He is also misquote Barquero.
He has shown the power law is the best predictive model when you adopt a time horizon beyond 6 months.
Cory has not even read all the publised work of the author he quotes (in all caps).

@diglloyd @xmal @Giovann35084111 The one-month forecast point comes from Baquero’s survey of the broader Bitcoin price-prediction literature. No one attributed that claim to Plan G.
My objection to Plan G’s work is the extrapolation. A power-law trend line can fit Bitcoin’s hist

@Giovann35084111 @Breedlove22 Hi Giovanni,
Just a little remark. New btc addresses are not correlated with new users. I get a new address everytime when I swap or act currencies into btc. I loved the interview. I am a fan 🧡

This remains my best interview to date. It is the best because @Breedlove22 is a genuine person, he was well prepared (he even has a series of interviews with physicist G. West, a world expert in power laws), and a bright and curious mind.
Also the live interview vs one over ht
