Important note: The calving front is 200 km long, and along its entire length, it rests on a seabed that lies at least 200 meters below sea level.
In some places, the depth exceeds 800 meters. So, letting yourself be led to believe that it isn't all that bad is foolish.

@KrVaSt Isn’t that the true Fast Ice, the border between the glacier and the land based ice? But I don’t think that we can say from now on, the glacier is vulnerable.
I think that it’s been undercutting the glacier for at least four years, if not more. Since B-22?
