@LukeGromen The overwhelming majority of welders in Ohio are making less than $35/hr. The welding schools aren’t even paying their instructors $57.90/hr!!! We are not serious about manufacturing in this country. Young guys I know can barely afford an apartment. No chance of a 511 views · 28 likes · 0 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →

@LukeGromen Finally. Been waiting for someone with an audience and reach to state this. If the math, maths, you can get someone to shovel sh-t in Louisiana, if it don’t, well, then you don’t. 1.6K views · 30 likes · 0 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →
Once you realize that many highly skilled trades don’t even make 1963 minimum wage today ($57.90/hr), you realize why we are short highly skilled trades 🤷‍♂️ 157.2K views · 2.1K likes · 200 reposts · 94 replies Open on X →
@UziCryptoo Minimum wage in 1963 in the US was $1.25 That was 5 silver quarters. Today the melt value of those 5 silver quarters is $57.90. Instead, US Federal minimum wage is $7.25 That's the whole ruse...that's the whole game. @wbmosler 218.5K views · 2.3K likes · 430 reposts · 78 replies Open on X →
Was told last week likely the only way we will get the political urgency to fix things are on this front is via a catastrophic cascading grid collapse (https://t.co/2XhLkt2pAJ) FFTT remains very bullish on electrical infrastructure equities. 29.4K views · 230 likes · 12 reposts · 20 replies Open on X →
Left: 1q16 TBAC showing the plan to term out US Federal debt - WAM (Wtd Avg Maturity) was supposed to be 85 months by 2025. Right: 3q26 TBAC showing US didn’t increase WAM. So has every Treasury Sec. since 2016 been stupid… or could they not raise WAM w/o triggering a crisis? h

Plain speak guide for when to get (nominally) bullish on LT USTs: Are higher rates & therefore higher interest expense leading to sharp cuts in Entitlements & Defense spending? If yes, bonds are a buy. If no, bonds are a sell. 1 of these 3 are a bubble: Bonds, USD, or Boomers

Ever since the BOJ lifted its ceiling on 10y JGB's in July 2023, if you want to know where 10y UST yields are going (blue), just watch UK 10y yields (red), & give it a bit of time. 5.4%, here we come. "Judge us by the 10-year yield" Bessent is being weighed & found wanting. htt

@LukeGromen @gregrieben bonds as insurance on every person you walk past at the fair is bleak lol. @lexmexx1 says thats why theyre so hated. what breaks first tho 563 views · 1 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →
@gregrieben If you go to an amusement park in flyover country USA, and realize that bonds amount to writing insurance on the healthcare of every person you see there, I would argue they aren't hated nearly enough on a real basis. 13.8K views · 241 likes · 6 reposts · 12 replies Open on X →

Reminds me of when Jeff Bezos and Steve Ballmer publicly called for slowing the rollout of the internet in 2000-01 due to public safety concerns. Just kidding - that never happened…which means a whole lot of investors’ priors may need significant updating. https://t.co/DBAXyKHXh

If you think Trump increasing the deficit to hand out $5,000 per person would be inflationary... ...you have to think the US govt increasing the deficit to hand out higher interest outlays on $40T in debt on a $31T economy as a result of Fed rate hikes is also inflationary. 🤷‍♂️

We talked openly with our 3 boys about how destructive gambling is, and when they were 18, helped them open online brokerage and BTC accounts, telling them “if you’re going to take risk, do it in a way where you win over time, rather than the house.” 40.9K views · 500 likes · 13 reposts · 31 replies Open on X →

With so much of my X feed occupied by US debt sustainability discussions & the 25th anniversary of 9/11 attacks, I can't help but think about this from 2004. I remember laughing at this 22 years ago, but nobody seems to be laughing anymore. https://t.co/VYPgCMz7fx

Thanks for hosting @LynAldenContact and me, @BTCsessions! US Interest + Interest-like obligations (Entitlements + VA) being 105% of Federal receipts, growing ~2x receipts, in a good economy, means we are indeed "out of time" - a decision must be made, soon. Full link below. htt

@LukeGromen @DianeSwonk Mathematically raising interest rates at this point increases inflation. Because you have so much Debt, as you increase the rates, you increase the interest payment which increases the money supply faster then the slowdown in money supply growth due to hi 364 views · 8 likes · 0 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →
