@shreyas I came across a post here recently that attributed at least some of this new Claude behavior to the fact that the models are now increasingly serving (and being evaluated by) other models. And I thought that was particularly interesting as a theory!

@shreyas You still use the Claude product? Try ChatGPT for the same use cases. Might take a bit, but it's better. At least from my experience these days. My accrued memories and consistent usage might be a huge contributing factor.

Somewhere along the way, Claude was told to “confidently assert what you think is good for the user even if they don’t ask, assume the user is not intelligent, and use jargon that makes you sound smart as you do all of this”, which has made Claude’s new personality unbearable.

i buy on Kobo, have claude code convert to pdf and upload to NotebookLM from where I can query the books with agents. it’s not the worst once working, but takes a bit of setup
