The UCLA athletic dept lost $52 mil last year and $83 mil in 2024 when including campus subsidy. There's a notion that Power 4 athletics is awash in cash, but outside of roughly 15 programs that are breakeven, universities hemorrhage money in their sports program. https://t.co/XX4DEcW26b
