I have been cleaning up examples written by Codex (5.6 Sol Ultra). So much code bloat. But there's real stupid code too. It wrote CPU->GPU barriers (no need, queue submit guarantees visibility) and one command buffer + submit per render pass. Not performance optimal at all.
