What you get

The video itself

  • The best quality X has for that post
  • MP4, playable anywhere
  • No watermark added — we do not touch the file
  • Duration and frame size shown before you save

Everything in the post

  • Several videos from one post, if there are several
  • Photos and GIFs from the same post
  • The post text and its counters
  • A link to the original on X

No account anywhere

  • Not yours, not ours — nothing to sign in to
  • No app and no browser extension
  • No limit on how many posts you open
  • Works on phone, tablet and desktop

Where the file comes from

  • Straight from the servers of X
  • We hand you the link, not a copy
  • Nothing is stored on our side
  • Protected accounts stay unavailable, as everywhere

X shows videos but offers no way to keep one. The file itself is public — it sits on the servers of X, and any browser fetches it to play. This page reads the post and hands you the direct link instead of making you dig through developer tools.

Worth being precise about what that means: we host nothing. The link points at the CDN of X, the download goes from X to you, and nothing passes through our server. That is a deliberate choice, not a limitation — copying other people's media onto our own machine would make us its source, which is a different thing entirely.

It follows that we cannot help with private accounts, deleted posts or anything X itself will not serve: there is no secret channel here, only the public page. And the usual reminder — what you save belongs to whoever made it. Personal viewing is one thing, republishing someone else's video as your own is quite another.

If you want the posts rather than the files, use the profile viewer or the media viewer; for GIFs specifically there is a separate page.

How to download a video from X

  1. Copy the post link. Any x.com or twitter.com link to a post that has a video.
  2. Paste it above. If we have not seen that post yet, it is fetched on the spot — that takes a few seconds.
  3. Save the file. Press the save button next to the video. The download comes from X, so it starts immediately and at full speed.

Frequently asked questions

How do I download a video from X?

Paste the post link above and press save next to the video. No account and no app are involved.

Is there a watermark?

No. The file is exactly what X serves — we do not re-encode it or add anything.

What quality do I get?

The highest X offers for that post. Where several qualities exist, we pick the largest one.

Do you store the videos?

No. The link points at the servers of X and the download never passes through us.

Can I download from a private account?

No. Protected posts are not served to anyone outside their followers, and no tool can change that.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. On iPhone the file usually opens in a new tab — hold the video and choose save.

Is it legal to save a video?

Saving a public file for yourself is ordinary browser behaviour. Publishing someone else's video as your own is not — the copyright stays with the author.

Paste a post link and save the video.

No account, no app, no watermark — the file comes from X itself.
