Everything #Isles did and did not do, including saying goodbye to Anders Lee, is appropriate for what they’re trying to do. Restores some faith in Darche.

#Isles fans will buy tickets because we love our team and want to believe. Some weeknights won’t be crowded but overall I expect a season that will have its moments as they fight for a playoff spot. They have some very good players and a top-ten strategist as HC.

@ChrisBottaNHL Until he makes a move to improve this team, what are they selling us? The genius of DeBoer? The fanbase is awake. They see what the deadline moves did. He blew cap space & assets on old guys. Only those who make it their identity to defend Darche are over it.

It might be time to stop looking at every #Isles move or non-move through the Schenn and Palat prism. It happened. If anything, you’re making excuses for the GM. They do not prevent Darche from building a contender.

Not interested in #Isles moves that lead to “You can’t say we’re not a better team today than yesterday.”
Not interested in moves that sell a few more tickets, “rewards the guys” for hanging around a playoff spot, or is sold as adding “leadership.”
All that matters: does each

@ChrisBottaNHL Chris, just know that there are many of us who enjoy reading you out here and have your back in silence. We may agree, we may disagree, but we enjoy everything you (and others) bring to the table on Isles hockey.

@ChrisBottaNHL I removed that post after a discussion about you with a mutual friend, in good faith, and agreed to let this go. I appreciated that you wanted to give me your version of events but did not want to engage with you - because of my relationship with someone that felt

@ChrisBottaNHL Unfollowed “Matt” as soon as he went scorched earth on you for no reason whatsoever, Chris. You’re one of the good guys, and we appreciate the time you take for Isles country

Something to consider in the wake of some of this unfortunate #Isles X garbage…
The beat writers use their names. I use my full name, you see my unpleasant face next to every tweet and I mention my town frequently and share vacation photos. So do many, many others like Joe
