My Grandfather served during WWII from Nov. 19, 1943-April 19, 1946. This clipping is about his first year.

5th grandfather Jesse Cypert, one of the Wayne County pioneers, served during the War of 1812 in Alexander Hill's Co. He received 2 land bounties. There was a US Daughters of 1812 chapter named after him in Wayne County, TN. Not a loser.

My 6th great-grandfather, Capt. James Noble and his brother served under Colonel Benedict Arnold during the Canadian expedition. His brother didnโt return home. He died in 1776 in Skeensborough, NY.
