And the cost savings for employers in Canada that don’t have to pay for employee health care, as they do in the US. It’s a big driver of total labour costs in the US for larger employers, like car makers. The pharmaceuticals employees pay for are also often cheaper in Canada.

I've seen several MPs in the past remain as partners in law firms, including the late Jim Flaherty, though I doubt he had time to run up billable hours when he was finance minister. A bit like sitting MPs earning a crust as landlords or stock investor: allowed under #HoC rules.
