Let us be pragmatic about history. The fact that Bhutto served in Ayub Khan’s cabinet does not prove that he endorsed every feature of Ayub’s constitutional order — just as participation in the British system did not make Jinnah, Gandhi, Nehru, Liaquat Ali Khan or Allama Iqbal 1.2K views · 14 likes · 5 reposts · 3 replies 05 Sep 2026 · Open on X →
@wajih_abbasi @Asad_Ashah You deny Bhutto was in Ayub's cabinet when entire West Pakistan was one province. Show me single historical record which shows Bhutto resistance against One Unit? 1.4K views · 0 likes · 0 reposts · 1 replies 05 Sep 2026 · Open on X →
Ten articles. Three decades of experience. One conclusion: Pakistan’s SOE and privatisation problem is not a knowledge gap. It is an execution and discipline gap. My tenth and final article in the Business Recorder series is published today. Across the series, I examined 626 views · 11 likes · 5 reposts · 2 replies 05 Sep 2026 · Open on X →
That is not historically correct. One Unit was imposed on West Pakistan in 1955 — not on the whole of Pakistan — and Sindhis, Baloch, Pakhtuns and others strongly resisted it. It abolished the historic provinces and was imposed by an increasingly authoritarian, unelected 2.9K views · 32 likes · 11 reposts · 5 replies 04 Sep 2026 · Open on X →

@Asad_Ashah @ShahNafisa Sindh is one of two, but Sindhis are one and united on corruption and incompetence and plunder of Karachi & poor Sindhis. Shame on you. 47 views · 3 likes · 1 reposts · 0 replies 04 Sep 2026 · Open on X →
@Asad_Ashah A strong and welcome message of unity from the Sindh Assembly. Sindh’s identity, history and unity belong to its people. The right answer to governance challenges is better governance—not division. Sindh is one and shall remain one. #سنڌ_ڌرتي_ماءُ_آهي 77 views · 3 likes · 3 reposts · 0 replies 04 Sep 2026 · Open on X →
@Asad_Ashah How will Zardari afford rent and his children's school fees without his 10% of Karachi? Have you seen the cost of living these days! 90 views · 4 likes · 2 reposts · 0 replies 04 Sep 2026 · Open on X →
Sindh is one and shall remain one. The Sindh Assembly has once again spoken clearly and unanimously. Sindh is not an administrative convenience to be redrawn from Islamabad. It is a historic federating unit that played a foundational role in the creation of Pakistan. The 1940 5.8K views · 107 likes · 44 reposts · 27 replies 04 Sep 2026 · Open on X →

Sustainability needs context, not copy-paste. Enjoyed speaking at the ICAP workshop on IFRS S1 & S2. Global sustainability standards are important, but their implementation must reflect national realities.
