I keep seeing people say “I want both.” I actually live in such a neighborhood, but there are v good reasons most ppl don’t choose this: A) it’s very expensive (2 bd=$600k or more) B) the schools are worse than the burbs C) you get a lot less. Is there a US city that added enough infill housing that it drove down the cost of for-sale housing (not rents)? I’m a believer in supply/demand but everything I see is related to rents not purchase costs.
