@Dom_Hallas @jreynoldsMP I run a company from the UAE, and this is exactly how the pitch to UK founders writes itself. One floated exit tax does more for rival hubs than any marketing budget. 22 views · 1 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →
Entrepreneurship in the UK needs carrots not sticks and it’s great that the Government has ruled out moving forward with bonkers plans to levy an exit tax on spinouts and founders building with the backing UK research funding. Thanks to @jreynoldsMP and others for listening 👏 htt 4K views · 40 likes · 4 reposts · 6 replies Open on X →

Jonny is great and would do a great job at DBT. But changes to DSIT (which I’ve been getting calls about) would be a mistake. A mega department would mean British tech competing with British steel for attention. And waste 6 months reorg-ing when time is of the essence. Not good.
