@JamesUrbaniak My brother and I watch lots of Italian crime movies from the 70s, we always cheer when Martin Balsam appears in one. We're hardcore Balsamaniacs. 156 views · 7 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →

@JamesUrbaniak My dad had this book! I used to pore over it endlessly like it was a picture book of Greek myths. (I have zero recollection of whether it was good tho… so presumably it was not as good as Greek myths.) 353 views · 3 likes · 0 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →
I don't think Mr. Reynolds was referencing this relatively forgotten humor book (he was 3 years old when it was published in 1979), I just like seeing the decade describer "tumultuous" come full circle. The book's authors were certainly prescient when it comes to Ryan Reynolds! 1.7K views · 44 likes · 1 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →
Ryan Reynolds called the '80s a "tumultuous" decade, the same adjective used in the title of the 1979 humor book "The '80s: A Look Back at the Tumultuous Decade 1980-1989," a satirical "look back" at the decade that hadn't happened yet. (I owned a copy.) https://t.co/jjtnO92mcC
