Most gutless Arsenal performance I’ve seen since Newcastle bullied us out of the Champions League spots in 2022, led by Bruno. Notable that we had no Saliba for that game either (Marseille).
Arsenal losing duels and kind of giving up. Very odd outing. Couldn’t hack man-to-man

Sometimes you just have to accept a belt to the back of the legs and that was Brighton. First time we’ve lost 3-0 since 2023.
Brighton wanted it more if the aggressive press was the benchmark for care. Hurzeler hates Arsenal more than Emery. Fair play, he did the job, ouch.

@LeGrove This is type of rivals and rivalry that we want honest and to the point.. not the crybabies on the app blaming the refs, conspiracies, tactics etc.

A man at the top of his game. This is art. Pettiness at its finest. No notes. This is world-class. Watch across the aisle, friends, and just enjoy.

@LeGrove If people think these guys would corrupt the integrity of a match for a laugh but not for money, they’re kidding themselves.

@LeGrove in 10 years we will hear interviews "you know we had a contest of how long can we not look at monitors in VAR, and once i didn't look at it for 90 minutes"
and it will all make sense.

Diabolical to have a PGMOL culture so rotten; this sort of thing happens... but worse, the people who partake in these games are brazen enough to brag about it.
This is worse than incompetence; it's a total failure of governance.

@LeGrove They don’t want to spend the money on Arsenal. I think they are of the opinion that the win has bought them a couple of years without a trophy especially with Arteta on message.

@LeGrove Agree with much of this. The exec environment has changed from last summer.
This summer was always about how we operate with a new off pitch team.

@LeGrove It feels more like Berta fucked it, and misread the market from the start. Rogers was there, and he should have had him signed up before the World Cup. That’s what champions do to build from a position of strength, but he fucked it and missed out. Berta out.

In July, I wrote about the Arsenal board restructure that happened last September and how I thought that might impact our summer. Cost controls at the heart of it.
Doesn't look far off where we landed...
