The energy Price Cap predictions for January have dropped a little, from up 25% last week it's now 'only' up 23%.
We're 5 weeks through the 13wk assessment. Almost certainly it will be a big rise, likely between 15% and 30% depending on the mid east.
Clearly not good whatever!

I'm afraid it's now predicted the energy Price Cap will rise 24% in January. The Cap applies to all firms' standard tariffs (bar in N. Ireland), so if you're not on a fix or special deal, you, like most people, are on it.
If you are on it, the safest thing to do is to fix, using

You can't be charged early exit fees in the last 49 days of your fix. So you are free to leave.
Whether to ditch your fix now or not is much harder to answer than 'should I ditch the price cap'. The rate you can fix at moves daily (or hourly). If the middle east conflict

So far with 8,700 votes in, it is 57% to 43% in favour of a cap. Yet the political split is huge.
Reform supports are 5 to 1 in favour of no cap. Where as others are 5 to 2 in favour of a cap. So clearly, as expected, the view of those who chose to vote on this strongly depends
