At the @wef Stewardship Board today. Around the table: governments, private sector, civil society. Clear vision for the future, now needs action. Against surging needs and fewer resources, @WFP is ready to step-up. Now we need bolder investments to accelerate effective solutions. 40.9K views · 19 likes · 4 reposts · 4 replies Open on X →

At today's #UNGA Call to Action for Palestinian Children. Children still aren't feeling the dividends of peace. For thousands, daily life is still displacement, looking over their shoulder, unsure about the next meal. Investing in children is investing in the future of Palestine.

Spoke with @Reuters on #Yemen - the people we serve, and the teams working to reach them as conflict escalates. These are the stories we must bring to the forefront of every conversation at #UNGA. https://t.co/Lqg52bBWcV 28.9K views · 26 likes · 4 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →

At #UNGA this week. World leaders, humanitarians and partners in the same room. My message: we need to step up support and protection for the global fight against hunger. The impact of what happens inside these halls is only measured by the changes that happen outside them. ht

School meals are one of today's good news story – because they work. They help children learn and strengthen local markets. At today's #UNGA81 @SchoolMeals_ event with @RockefellerFdn & world leaders who take this forward, our task now is reaching the children everywhere. https:

Humanitarians can save lives, but many of the challenges we face to deliver are political. Today, @eu_echo, Ireland, Brazil and Jordan brought us together on how Member Statses can use humanitarian diplomacy to advance humanitarian action and protect humanitarian space. #UNGA81

Ahead of #UNGA81, I spent 8 days across Sudan. Conflict and climate are driving hunger faster than the response can keep up. I'm bringing these stories to NY this week, to urge leaders to keep food security at the center of conversations. Waiting for famine is a failure of duty.

Back in Tawila camp. Survivors of El Fasher, now surviving on only aid. Camp expanded more since I was last here 3 months ago. I see the progress when we have the resources and access: @WFP supporting nearly 700,000 people every month with food or cash. But it's still not enough.

Reports of fighting escalating near Bab Al-Mandab overnight. I was there last week and warned further disruption would raise food prices, deepen hardship, and add more obstacles for aid. Yemen's people suffer most and the impact is global. The world must step up with solutions. 57.6K views · 79 likes · 12 reposts · 14 replies Open on X →
