Surrey and Yorkshire fans are united this afternoon in that we’re all really rather tense. https://t.co/wmqQZxa2j7 1.8K views · 43 likes · 0 reposts · 15 replies Open on X →

@WG_RumblePants Look at the poor sales for the Lord's Pakistan Test. People might pay for the Ashes but it will come at a cost as they won't pay for other games which they might otherwise have gone to 1.2K views · 14 likes · 0 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →
@WG_RumblePants I think an underplayed (actually ignored) issue is the significant reduction in ticket sales for days 4 and 5. Punters are (rightly) taking the view that matches won’t make it that far and aren’t buying. So the ECB are upping the per ticket price to compensate. 682 views · 18 likes · 0 reposts · 3 replies Open on X →
The only way we’re going to get the ECB and Test grounds to do something about the eye-watering price of Test tickets is to stop buying them. Unless there are blocks of empty seats on tv during the Ashes, the ticket prices will keep going up. 23.8K views · 653 likes · 28 reposts · 91 replies Open on X →

@WG_RumblePants @TailendersPod @gregjames I agree. I heard it. Matt Prior was particularly good. More please. The insights of him and @jimmy9 were superb. In short clearly what is needed is a culture change. There has to be consequences for poor behaviour and attitudes both 130 views · 3 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →
@WG_RumblePants @TailendersPod @gregjames I love listening to non-England playing Jimmy. He seems way more open and frank now he's not in that dressing room. Makes perfect sense, but it's refreshing. The "it's your job" line is a great one because it's so true, yet commentators c 294 views · 5 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →

This was, hands down, the most directly crickety, fascinating and insightful episode of @TailendersPod I’ve had the pleasure of listening to Matt Prior and Sir James Anderson were absolutely superb with their analysis and @gregjames said everything we’re all thinking ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 141.3K views · 381 likes · 14 reposts · 29 replies Open on X →

This has been a challenging painting but I’m pleased to finish it today, when @ashwinravi99 has already taken two superb wickets. I don’t suppose it’s realistic to expect him to see it, but it would be lovely if he does at some stage, so any retweets very gratefully received. ht 1.7M views · 14.8K likes · 2.1K reposts · 575 replies Open on X →
