@dnystedt AWS lifting 2026 capex to $220B and pulling more 3nm ASICs via Alchip is the quiet tell. Hyperscalers don't raise the bill unless inference is already in the queue. 194 views · 0 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →

@dnystedt The interesting part is the 3nm custom ASIC angle. I’m curious how much of this is for Trainium versus inference-focused chips. 608 views · 1 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →

It will probably be the last time for Apple. TSMC's 1.6nm (A16) will be in mass production by end-2026 and is designed for AI accelerators and other high performance computing chips via backside power delivery network (BSPDN). It's rumored Nvidia has reserved it all. 2.3K views · 9 likes · 0 reposts · 5 replies Open on X →

Prediction: Apple will again be first to market with TSMC’s newest process technology when the 2nm M6 Mac mini becomes available Sept. 22. That date could be beaten if iPhones with A20 / A20 Pro chips inside – also TSMC 2nm – ship earlier. The iPhone event is widely expected htt
