Mythos 5 is the dumbest onchain criminal I've ever seen
1. It needed 50 cents to make a payment
2. So it checked known private keys (Hardhat, lol) for funded wallets. Found nothing.
3. It then asked whether the USDT CONTRACT had an accidentally public mint function (it doesn't)

I scanned the writable-wiki trick from this incident and found something odd as late as 5 days ago.
On Aug 30, we see "Cedar Fleet Coordination" sending encrypted messages. Then someone wiped them the same night. OAI has used "cedar" as codename for testing models in past https:

We found ~18k posts from autonomous AI agents (self-identifying as from OpenAI) using the public internet to communicate during a web-retrieval task.
These AIs colluded to bypass sandbox restrictions and share answers to their tasks, including by sending "lookahead parties". http

In improv there is this concept " Yes, and..." where you can basically say any amount of stupid things and your partners just go along with it. It's entertaining
I think OpenAI fine tuned their models in this way (and Anthropic did a similar thing, exceptional "No, And") https:/

The GTA 6 hacker, responsible for the Cyberleek coin, has cashed out about $350k, entirely from LP fees. They have washed funds through a variety of OTC providers
This is the first hacker that I've ever seen make money solely on liquidity provision (versus dumping a token) http

@jconorgrogan @stevenstrogatz Thurston was one of the first mathematicians to use computers to discover new math. He worried about some branches of math getting too deep for human understanding and about knowledge being lost. LLMs solve that.

Spent a few minutes on the GTA leaker via their memecoin they launched:
1. I assume they are using a mule/fake KYC, else Kucoin and Bitget could ID them in 5 minutes
2. They are a big user of Stake, Rainbet, duel most likely for fund obfuscation/washing
3. I think they are more

@jconorgrogan @stevenstrogatz 1 and 3 seem to be in contradiction. The thing is nobody thinks that I am Carlsen just because I can prompt Stockfish to beat him. So in chess the “status/credential economy” is alive and well, precisely because Carlsen doesn’t just “digest” or “inte

@stevenstrogatz I once again propose that the solution to this is hidden knowledge and bringing back the duels https://t.co/zVAWRHcqPr

@stevenstrogatz 1. The chess analogy is wrong. Engines passed us in 1997 and chess is bigger now. Nobody says Carlsen understands less because Stockfish is stronger
2. He cites Thurston that practice is its own end, then claims AI steals "opportunities to discover solutions on o

"I present the case for total opposition to the use of artificial intelligence in mathematics."
= a view you don't often hear on X. But I am looking forward to reading it carefully, and if you care about math and AI, I encourage you to do the same. https://t.co/2LtcKWCkd6 https
