@slmandel #NCStateShit is real, but the thing about NCSS is that there is always an element of doing it to ourselves. If Elliott Avent doesn’t offhandedly say there’s a bug going through the clubhouse after going 2-0 in the CWS, we’re playing MSU for the title two days later…

@slmandel You have to fire that head coach. Today. I have no clue what he's been doing, but "coaching football" is not one of those things.

I know everyone thinks their school is cursed, but I swear NC State sports truly is cursed. They absolutely, positively cannot have nice things.

OK I have never seen a game end like Vandy-NC State just did.
CJ Bailey trying to kill 6 seconds fumbles in his own end zone, Vandy recovers with no time left. Vandy will win.

@slmandel I don't know how I feel about this bill.
But Chris Murphy, some Union folks and a handful of players isn't really a strong coalition of opposition.

@slmandel I hope John Chaney breaks up Calipari's news conference since Calipari apparently wants the good old days to come back.
Calipari, the original "get your bag" coach is going to lecture college athletes on how they need structure to save college sports? Nickname this bi

Coming Monday in college sports:
A press call with Sen. Chris Murphy (D), AFL-CIO leaders and some college athletes who oppose the Protect College Sports Act.
And a pro-PCSA press conference w/ Ted Cruz (R), John Calipari and "more than 30 coaches and student athletes."

SOURCE: LSU has left Dae'Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris off the roster for tomorrow's Clemson game, @theathletic has learned.
Rostering 103 players instead of 105 keeps the possibility of adding them later. ESPN first reported.

Davis Warren has looked night and day better in his 1.5 games so far at Stanford than in that miserable 2024 season at Michigan.

A QB that stunk all game leading a 2-minute TD drive, a coach playing for a 45-yard field goal instead of trying to get closer, and a walk-off block.
College football is back!

This judge, perhaps even more so than in other cases, is just making stuff up as he goes along.
Now LSU can't cut its own players?
Starting to see why NCAA is having so much success so far getting these rush-job injunctions stayed.

FINAL: UMass 37, Rutgers 21.
UMass ends a 23-game FBS losing streak, dating to 2023.
The spread was 29.5, which to put in perspective was bigger than NIU-Notre Dame.

@slmandel Disconnect?
You mean the TV Networks / Conferences only care about $$$, while the fans care about the actual product & the sport?
Did this just occur to you?
