What's happened to kids' sports the last 20 years is happening now to kids' math and I don't really know what's going to stop it.
Mathnasiums and other ‘centers’ (many owned by PE, like youth sports) have exploded in popularity.
I recently watched parents at a math center grill

I've been running an informal math circle for preschoolers, and it's amazing what 5 yo's can do.
Combinatorial reasoning, backward induction, beginnings of proof... the concepts are there even before mastering arithmetic.
If you have kids 5-7 you can try these games at home htt

Schools are inflating failing grades, getting rid of hard classes, or convincing everyone that tests don’t matter.
We’ve lowered standards, right as AI is raising the bar for jobs and learning.
We have a different message: Have high standards.

AI is increasing the need for clear thinkers and problem solvers.
Once school is over, no one will ask you to find the interior angles of a pentagon.
But the part of your mind that math and coding trains is something you’ll use forever. https://t.co/DCEDkApJBp

American kids can’t read or do math anymore.
90% of parents think their kid is at grade level. Only 28% are.
And now, kids are addicted to AI for cheating.
That’s why we built Koji to coach you to think, instead of doing the thinking for you. https://t.co/vhnDeMiSFN
