@taylorotwell Our reviews right now are just another feed of training data for the models. I'd be VERY surprise if they didn't track PRs (and agentic session logs) and the kinds of manual intervention that happens, just to feed it back into next gen models.

@taylorotwell Not gonna lie, seeing you and DHH talk about having not written code by hand anymore is making me feel better, because I think I hand wrote like 4 lines of code all of 2026.

Basically where I am at.
I haven’t hand-written any code in 2026, but I still review anything I release that is going to be used by customers.
Probably unnecessary in the future. Still required for now though.

I will keep reviewing and adjusting any AI generated code until the models can consistently one-shot produce something I would consider acceptable.
I haven't been able to just "trust the model".
But anyway, trust is earned, applies to humans, companies, products, AI.

A fun QoL improvement we shipped to Cloud recently: now when you enable a feature that requires a package your app doesn't have installed, we warn you before you deploy. As soon as we detect that you've installed the package, the warning goes away and you can ship 🚢 https://t.co/

You can now create read-only database users for Laravel MySQL databases in Laravel Cloud. Great for granting access to agents or even for humans tbh. https://t.co/VwiRKIv99u
