Another thing I think could be interesting is access.
You could give players temporary or permanent access to a claimed world, or charge for visits. If it has resources or discoveries someone needs, there's a reason for them to come explore it. 👀

Basically, take the building & exploration we love about Minecraft, add Runescape-style skill grind/proression, and make progression persist across the ecosystem.
The focus would be building, exploring & progressing with friends. Combat would play a smaller role.

I'm looking a lot at PoE, runescape, and some others for the economy side. Gathering, crafting, refining gear, trading, etc should all feed into each other.
Rare token finds are part of it, but an ordinary expedition needs to feel worthwhile too. Still a lot to figure out here.

Mining, prospecting, crafting, exploring, running, climbing, etc all level their relevant skills. Think Runescape.
Your character + gear persist across worlds. Better skills, equipment & milestones open up new destinations, new maneuverability, progression, etc.

The original 10,000 NFT Worlds would be core to this.
Their rare traits shape resources, gear, discoveries, etc.
Free worlds can generate rare traits too, but at much lower rates. Finding one with a combination of several would be extremely unlikely.

You could claim a world, build something incredible on it, then optionally mint & sell the whole thing onchain
Or find a world with something rare that another player wants, claim it for yourself, or sell
No NFT needed to play or build. Minting for when you want claim/sell

The part I think makes this interesting.. each world only generates once.
Claim it if you want to keep it. Once everyone leaves an unclaimed world, it's gone forever.
You can spend token to keep claim a world, return to them, and choose any one as your home.

The loop is basically 20 / 30 minute expeditions, solo or with friends.
Explore a new world, mine its resources, find unusual gear, discoveries, etc. Then bring that progress home to craft better equipment & build out your home world/base.

You'd start in a randomly generated 512x512 block world. That's your default home, you can mine, build it out, do whatever you want with it.
At the center of each world is a caravan. That's how you travel to new worlds & progress through the game.

One of the previous learnings with @hytopiagg as a games platform was that hosting is a pain for cost, scaling, and latency.
So rebuilt things from scratch to be locally simulated first, and peer-to-peer over the browser for play.
Feels interesting so far. Sharing more soon..
