Our "Blessings of Liberty" podcast about presidential removal & birthright citizenship is up. I gave @ilan_wurman a week's notice to address his specific misuses of historical sources. He dodged. So I posted the details. Control-F Around and Find Out. https://t.co/vR2TNgqSjx 1.7K views · 12 likes · 1 reposts · 3 replies Open on X →

Daily SCOTUS Historical Fact-Check, Part 1: I'm starting a daily SCOTUS fact-check after a whopper term, full of erroneous historical whoppers. 1. Justice Kavanaugh concurred in the result. Why did he bend over backward to call it a dissent? https://t.co/UhgqX6BS9A 2.5K views · 8 likes · 0 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →

Kavanaugh's history is wrong/grossly misleading at p.8. In the very least, he had a duty to read the briefs (our brief!) & Jackson's concurrence, and he had to address the background of illegal slave trade and the restrictions against Roma & mass Chinese immigration. https://t.c

Frankly, I am stunned reading Kavanaugh's dissenting view: the 14th A. does NOT guarantee birthright citizenship. He did not read the amicus briefs. He did not even read Jackson's concurrence, which relied on my research to refute Kavanaugh's unsupported assertions (p. 8) 258.5K views · 494 likes · 60 reposts · 31 replies Open on X →

I'm also honored that Jackson cited the amicus brief Evan Bernick and I filed, with the outstanding lawyering of @BBenedict33 & Michael Altebrando https://t.co/N3NsbYKFv5 3.6K views · 18 likes · 5 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →

Gratified that our birthright amicus brief was cited in Justice Jackson's concurrence & that several of its unique sources made it into the Opinion of the Court. This is a huge victory for the rule of law - one that comes along once a century. Thank you to @jedshug & Evan Bernick

The Supreme Court STRIKES DOWN Trump's anti-birthright executive order. I was honored that Sotomayor cited 5 of my articles in her Slaughter dissent yesterday. It's a sweeter honor today as Jackson cited my historical work supporting birthright, p. 12-13, forthcoming in UC L.J. h
